In 2024, I was runner up in the Future of Money award.

Each year the Future of Money team issues a brief. In 2024 it was, “What would a National Wealth Service provide to the citizens of the UK?”

I proposed a supplementary social currency to offset the social harm caused by currency money: esteem.

I am in the process of expanding this idea into a non-fiction work. This text looks at the history of money, considers how money functions then sets out the benefits of a supplementary social currency.

The first draft was completed yesterday (9 July 2025). The finished book will be available on Amazon in September 2025.
